History

Juan Berasategui Telleria launched Industrias LOTU as a business venture in 1951 .In small premises of just 120 square metres in Pamplona's San Jorge district, with three employees, the business barely had the means to begin manufacturing large scale screws for strategic sectors such as the railway, high voltage power cable posts etc, in order to specialize, some years later, in small size cold forming screws. The professionalism and efforts of Industrias LOTU paid off however, and gradually the company grew and became established. As a result, in 1955 the premises moved to Villava a small district on the outskirts of Pamplona.

In 1964, Industrias LOTU took a significant step forward and opened new premises in the San Juan neighbourhood. Eleven years later, further development and space requirements necessitated another move to the Landaben Industrial Estate, where some of the most important major Spanish and international companies are also located. By 1975 the factory covered 2,000 square metres of built surface area. The company continued to prosper and in 1988 Industrias LOTU moved to its present premises on the same industrial estate.
